Dpf delete pipes and removal
« on: April 27, 2014, 12:10:46 pm »
I'm having problems with my dpf, the cars done 130k and the dpf is coming to the end of life, I kno the best option is going to r-tech and having them do the dpf removal and remap, but my question is iv seen a forge dpf removal pipe for £150 , I kno about the mot laws changing etc but I'm not too fussed, I want to know how safe it is to run the car with the dpf removed and not mapped out etc?

Yeah it's safe to drive it for a bit but it's not a long term solution without a supporting map. You will have a CEL on and the ECU will be trying to regen by dumping fuel into the exhaust.

Best getting it done properly  :happy2:
