How come they're so sh*te if they're just brembos with a RS logo?? Or are there some differences?

I think its the discs that are sh*te, not the calipers. IIRC dave specifically did a 2 piece disc for the OEM TTRS caliper, to get rid of the crappy 'non handed' discs.

I know a lad who works at Audi who can get them 300 quid cheaper for me that's all mate.

I don't mind buying them and then flogging the discs, but who's going to want to buy them if they're supposedly sh*te lol???

it is just the disc which is pony, the caliper is a 4 pot brembo that's used on other stuff like Aston Martin DB9, they work just fine with Dave's disc/carrier combo

Depending on price or what its going to cost to buy new discs aswell.. there is a motorsport spec AP racing setup in the for sale section with new discs.. but that is without me knowing your budget.. allthough maybe audi have done a recall on the discs now

or can your friend just supply you calipers etc with no discs for a good price?

I'm a bit weary about buying things second hand when I don't know that much about them mate, so I would rather buy new. Budget will be about 1500.

The main reason for the sort of recall was the squealing. Seemed to get resolved by fitting new calipers, discs and pads. The caliper now also comes with that rubber weight bolted to the side just as the S3 calipers do now.
