Anyone got the OEM iPod connection with MFSW? Some Questions
« on: November 10, 2009, 11:32:33 am »
As above!

Does the Highline display track info? Can you change the tracks from the MFSW?

Does the Stereo display tracks and menu navigation?

Does it work with the iPhone 3G?

Any help would be much appreciated  :drinking:

Hi mate
I havent got Highline but i do have a OEM ipod adaptor in the armrest.

No it doesnt show track names only track 1 2 3 4 5 etc
No you cant operate the ipod menu through the radio controls only select 5 preset playlists set in alphabetical order and then the whole music selection on the ipod In the 6cd changer format.

So instead of having disc 12345 you have your 5 preset playlists then slot 6 is taken up by the whole singles list.

so if you want to select a album or sng in particular you need to remove the ipod select what you want the re insert the ipod.

Hope that helps

Yep thats what i was looking to find out mate.

I shall not be getting the VW ipod connector!

Looks like parrot 9300i is the best option - had a quick look at it in halfrauds last night. It charges the i phone and you can select the artist and album via the screen and the jog dial.

I also emailed them yesterday and if you buy the adapter kit you can use the MFSW to control it.
