Wrappping for protection?
« on: March 25, 2014, 01:27:06 pm »
Has anyone done certain parts of their cars in clear wrap purely for protection? For example just areas that could get a battering like front bumpers, bonnet sills etc?

Just wondering how much it would be and would it be worth it???

Lots of people have this done, it's called clear bra/venture shield/paint protection film etc .

My knowledge of wrapping is very limited, do you just still care for it in the same way as you would paint work, eg polish and wax etc???

You can do yes, unless you're machining polishing just treat it as you would paint.

Wrapping can be still be effected by stone chips, as I can testify to! I'll be re-doing the front of mine because of this.
