Stereo Randomly lowers sound
« on: March 23, 2014, 07:43:33 pm »
Sometimes when I comeback from uni I feel very tired so I put my music on full blast so I don't fall asleep while driving

Now! the problem I have been having recently is that the sound automatically lowers itself for some reason, i raise the volume and it comes back down again. This has been happening for the last two days and its pretty annoying

Does anyone know why?

I have the standard stereo by the way http://i1.ytimg.com/vi/Ts3emdPBwSM/maxresdefault.jpg

No reason why it should. Does the volume display indicate it's turning down?

Maybe it's a sign saying you should pull over, have some caffeine and a nap..

I had a similar thing on my rcd-510, the volume would go up and down for a few mins and then the volume control wouldn't work.

Never found out why it done it but fixed it by fitting a mfsw

My RCD510 was doing this the other day, the display was even showing the volume changing. All I did to 'fix' it was switch the stereo off and turn the volume control button round several times.  I've got a MFSW so never touch the volume control on the stereo itself so think the contacts may of needed a bit of a clean or something

Wasn't GALA setting in my case as I don't use it. Also when the volume did change by itself it displayed on the stereo
