WALKit : owner information thread
« on: October 20, 2009, 03:40:52 pm »
not wishing to clutter the existing thread whiteline (WALK) failure... ...
eventually this will  be linked to the product review , as well as I hope a reply from BalanceMotorsport/Whiteline themselves

if you have a WALK kit fitted , tell us when , how many miles , and any additional suspension work (bushes lowered etc)

username : mileage since fitted : fitted by (garage or DIY)  :  mods (suspension related)        : general usage (road/track/mars)

john_o      :      >15k miles         :  a garage  :  std suspension   :  road only , no trackdays

Hurdy, fitted 10k miles ago by JBS. Suspension mods are Bilstein B16 PSS10's (formerly Eibach Pro Street S coilovers), front and rear Autotech ARB's, APR torque arm insert. Used quite hard on hilly ruttled South Yorkshire roads + Nurburgring and Spa days.

They are still running fine and I last looked at them close-up just before the 'ring trip 3 weeks ago and they looked okay
Golf R gone.

Brakes and wheels are also part of a suspension inasmuch that their weights will cause the suspension to work harder or easier. [Waits for T_T to tell me what a load of bollox]

In my case, each front corner saves ~9kg but the 4kg per corner saving from my OZ's is only very recent.

....I think you'll find it's only been mentioned when relevant to the thread. If not, please tell me where and I'll revise it.

Not everybody reads every thread I post in
