Thanks a lot! I am contemplating it and for running a single stitch £50 or 2 stitches for £100. Add return postage on top too. Like I said before its not material cost but time factor as it takes ~8hrs so need to be aware of this. Turnaround time is week to 10 days as I have a full time job also.

Sounds fair! It would take me longer to decide what colour stitching than what it would for you to do it . I'll definitely keep it in mind

Little update: I am now ready to offer this as a service. £50 for a single stitch and £100 for double stitch and return postage on top. Choice of 32 thread colours. Week to 10 days turnaround.

50 quid for 8hrs Labour, do you do mechanical lol.

Biggest problem you'll face is turn around time. People usually can't let there cars sit that long. People hate leaving it over night with us.

£100 double stitch , 8hrs.
Single stitch £50 for 4hrs.

Could send a spare steering wheel while the works being done but means more posting costs to and fro.  Another idea might be to do an exchange basis but too many variables so not keen on that.
