Rear Brake Pad Wear Indicator

As the title goes, does the MK5 Gti have a rear brake pad wear indicator. Its just that I've seen some Pagid pads on Euro Car Parts that are prepped for a wear indicator.

My car has the winter pack, but I think the previous owner just fitted some cheapo pads, which are TRW. I doubt they have the wear indicators.

take wheel off or look through it on passenger side, if just behind the top of the disk there is a connector not being used then you have the ability to have a brake pad wear wire attached, if no connector it wasn't fitted

I'm gonna change the pads myself today using a caliper wind back tool. Do you need to leave the cap off the brake fluid reservoir when doing this procedure?

Rear brake pad wear indicators have never been fitted to the mk5 regardless of whether it has the winter pack or not, front wear indicators only are standard on the mk5..
I've found that the rears will wind back fine both with the cap fitted and removed

Do I need to do anything special to my DSG shifter as I can't seem to get the caliper off.

All done. This is the first time I've ever replaced brake pads and I'm quite pleased its all done now.
Just had to be careful as the handbrake needs to be released in order to free the rear brakes and I didn't want the car rolling off my drive!
The only issue I had is that, I ever so slight chipped one of my brake lines that go into the caliper and now I'm worried its gonna explode whilst I'm driving leaving me with no rear brakes.
