Here is one from a dealer at an expensive asking price: http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,81216.0.html

Realistically around £10.5- £11k from a garage i'd suggest, and probably around £9.5k private for that low mileage. Really depends on condition, service history, options etc. . .  :happy2:

Your probably right, but as prices are so variable for ED30's, would rule out someone selling a low miler for that price- especially if it's a bit of a dog!

Personal opinion but buy on condition not miles. I personally have owned 4 edition 30,s and find they drive nicer with a few miles on them. That doesn't mean low mileage is bad but has it had a yearly oil service etc regardless of miles or has it only had one service? Lots of us enthusiasts use our cars but maintain them and cherish them were somebody else keeps something like that as their wife's toy etc and doesn't care . Leave the starry eyes at home.

Arnold Clark will give me 10.5 trade in for my ed30 on 30k miles and suggested I sell private at 12500 I paid a premium buying mine 18 months ago with 13k miles with 1 owner  but I don't regret it pay what you feel is right  :driver:
