Rear Wiper 'Graunch'
« on: October 09, 2009, 03:10:49 pm »
Guys,

Rear wiper always 'graunches' like fhuck when applied, even when damp from rain/condensation. This is even after spraying some screen wash on the back, it's almost as if it's in the wrong the position from the start.

Is there any kind of mod/new blade I can apply that will stop it from sounding like it's in pain whenever its applied?
I'm not into this delete mod as I use it and it would look silly without one.

Did a search, didn't find anything  :ashamed:

Thanks,
Pete.
Pete

I think that this may be down to the coating on the screen.  As in whatever you use for washing the car, which may produce a slightly sticky screen if you see what i mean.

What do you clean the screen with after you wash the car?

I use speed detailer on mine, and this sheds the water and produces no judder.

Or it could be that the rubber is past it's best? Try a new wiper maybe?

I must admit it doesn't look like it's perished much on the side that makes contact with the glass, but indeed it's a bit scabby the blade holder side.

It's hardly an expensive replacement part so I'll give it a go . Thanks all.
