What's needed/ideal for each stage of a remap?
« on: March 25, 2014, 04:17:33 pm »
Hi everyone I was just wondering what induction kits/intakes, exhausts, HPFP's and any other parts are needed for each stage remap?

Like stage 1: intake, exhaust.....etc?
Stage 2: intake TBE... Etc?
Stage2+
Stage 3

Etc etc, I don't know much about cars and tuning just wondering if in future if it's worth saving enough to go all out straight to stage 2+ with all the bits and pieces required instead of messing about?

I didn't know wether to get a evoms or itg etc (what's best) and a milltek non res cat back then go stage 1 or stage 2 etc etc!?

Any help or opinions would be greatly appreciated

Thanks! :driver:

I know this is Revo specific but should give you a good idea, it shows what components need to be upgraded for each stage.

My advice would be to do some research on the subject. There's so much to trawl through but its worth looking for yourself as you'll learn what's what.

First off, what do you want from your car? Power or POWER? An aggressive or progressive map?

Get a stage 1 map and enjoy that and then have a look round at adding mods and further stages of tune. Nothing is needed for your car for a Stage 1 map. Make sure the usual precautionary items are buttoned up ie DV, PCV, Cam follower, Latest Coilpacks and run it on 99 RON. Any good tuner will give your car a pre map health check anyway.

Look into a custom map as well as a generic REVO map as they will map your car tailored to your specific mods and your specific requests.

Enjoy, happy modding!
