Bought Edition 30 today (Warrington)
« on: October 09, 2009, 07:31:18 pm »
Been lurking on this site for a few weeks now gathering as much info as my tiny brain can handle

Traded my Performance Blue Mondeo ST220  for a ED30 today, 07 (56 plate) Black 3dr manual, highish mileage i suppose for just under 3 years old at 44k but dosent matter as most of my miles are in works car

Had a testdrive in DSG and manual, loved DSG but felt more at home with Manual

Only down side is my other half will drive the ED30 through the week while i drive my other BEAST (Mondeo Diesel Estate 115 BHP :surprised:)

I see there are quite a few other guys from around Warrington on here, so if you see a 30-something guy with 2 rugrats in the car trying to look cool at the local drive through....that will be me :happy2:

Just took the new motor to Blackpool and it drives fantastic......except sometimes when you floor it "hiccups" once, simular symptoms to dirt in the fuel. my better half drove home and tried to accelerate in fith gear and it just kept "hiccuping" :scared:

I think it will need a visit to the main stealers before the warranty runs out - really hope its something basic, easy to find and covered under warranty. im guessing it could be an air leak on the turbo hoses somewhere or faulty coil ! - reading some other posts on here i really hope its not the fuel pump !

driving sedately it runs perfectly
