New member ed 30 dsg

Been lurking for a while so hi

Bought car on sat, was  fine on test drives had it 2 days  and the box locked in reverse so back to vw new mega somat controll unit on order!!!   They say 2 weeks to fix so i now have a bug sat outside.  Will post a couple a pics when i get it back.
Only word comes to mind is gutted.

Near enough to blackburn give a take a few miles, just used that name as its what i used on  vr6oc and uk mkivs.

Yes true least it went now  while in warranty. Still gutted been l after one for ages and had it booked in at awesome for apr map.

Just out of intrest which  maps would other edition 30 owners give the thums up?

APR and Revo are the most popular I'd say, then theres superchips and custom code that all give good results :smiley:

Also sick of the funny looks i getting driving the bug, sure people thinking i bat for the other side(not that there is anything wrong wi that) was sat at lights the other day gti pulls alongside guy looked disappointed when he saw a lad driving!!  He then smirkrd to himself and shot off when they turned green.

I hate that, I had a new engine after 4 months of ownership and hated when someone pulled up next to me whilst in the rental, things I would have done to be in the Ed30 then  :fighting:

Still happens now  :sad1:

Cant wait to get another decent car, was thinking cooper s but may push a little more in and go for a standard GTI DSG. If your really that fussed about the car, take it back to VW and kick up a fuss and they will sort you a Golf out. I did, tried fobbing me off with a 1.2 Polo..managed to get a brand new Jetta from them.

Finaly got the car back on sat and now feels smooth as silk :grin:

Cant  wait to get  apr  flash done now cant do to much as swmbo will be driving it as a daily.  The car feels pritty quick make my old 4mo feel slugish  very pleased with it
