Which intake for gains, sound & reliability?
« on: March 27, 2014, 05:21:18 pm »
Hi guys I've been looking at the evoms and itg for my eddy, just not sure which would be best!

Itg claim you can gain upto 9% power at the wheels which would be an additional 20.7 bhp

Than evoms say 10-15 bhp increase.

So itg: 250.7bhp possibly?
Evoms: 240-245bhp possibly?

Just wondered what people favour I don't like the idea of the foam heat shield box thing with the itg whereas the evoms is properly enclosed!?

Which sounds best too etc? Hard to tell off videos really!

Sorry I know this has been asked a million times before just don't want to go out and get the wrong thing possibly!?

Thanks

I know it won't make these gains without a map and proper hardware to match it etc but I'm just working on figures....... Thanks again!

My vote goes for the REVO one, after having the 2 you mentioned I prefer my new REVO one, sound wise. Performance wise they're all much a muchness....

In my opinion you’ll find people recommend what they have… I opted for an EVOMS as I read good things about them and couldn't personally justify the cost of the Revo, despite the fact it may have given a slightly better increase in performance.

Evoms is 285. Not sure why anyone would pay silly money for the Revo one.

I've found a Revo one for £350! I like the idea of one piece of tubing and being ceramic inside sounds good, is it worth and can you add a heat shield to the revo one too?

Once I've brought a heat shield and payed for postage on an evoms it is only £28 less than the revo one!

You can easily add an exhaust heat shield if you so desire.
