Revo is 420... Evoms is just over 300 with heatshield

Found some for £350 new posted!

^^^^ Is that the Ceramic coated one as there are 2, one cheaper one without the coating and one a wee bit more with the ceramic coating. My ceramic one was £400 and that was cheap ish.

Tis a good point the chaps mention about the cost of the REVO CAI. if cost is a consideration then definetly go for the EVOMS one, great piece of kit and proven to work over many a treat over many years on the TFSI and with noticable gains.

Into lazy for that  haha, I like the look of the revo because it's smooth not many fixings and clips etc and love the idea of a ceramic inner tube with the option of fitting an additional heatshield!

Fitted my itg weekend. Noise = wow everytime you let off it dumps. When you floor it you here the turbo lots and also lots off whooshing. I think I have lost some low down Torque but gained more mid range onwards. Remap and TBE needed now

I've use both the Evoms and Revo ceramic (currently fitted) intakes and tbh they both do a good job.

I'm attending a rolling road day tomorrow at the same place where I had the car on with the Evoms fitted so I'll tell you if there's any gains/losses with the current Revo intake.

The Revo one is deffo louder tho and it looks better. Price wise I found mine 2nd hand for the bargain price of £260. Once I sold my Evoms for £200 the Revo stood me at £60 :D

Glad you created this thread.

I am looking at possibly going stage 2+. Is the OE box with a decent panel filter any good or will it seriously compromise power on stage2 +.

As I am getting on in years I don't want my car popping and farting and whooshing down the road attracting attention....are the any quiter alternatives that give excellent gains.

I was told the VWR intake is a very civilised intake that's not too noisy....is that correct??

What about the APR Carbonni intake.....waste of money??

Thanks, I've got a carbonio at the minute if your interested in buying it? Doesn't add any noise just looks great under the bonnet!

Thanks

Are these just air filters?
Or is there more than a bent pipe and sock over the end?
Cos 250-420 for a air filter is crazy IMHO

Surely there could be be other contributing factors, if power is made or lost over your old one?
