My MK5 Golf GT
« on: March 28, 2014, 08:38:52 pm »
Hi all I picked up my Golf in December, it is a 08 plate it came with full vw service history, one previous owner, 44000 miles. It also has auto lights and rain sensitive wipers, leather interior. I don't intend to do many alterations in fact it's fair to say I have altered it as much as I in tended already. I have added a shortened bee sting aerial, removed the tsi badge on the tailgate (will be removing the Golf badge soon), replaced the pads and discs all round and added an RNS510 (courtesy of Mateyguv  :happy2:), I need to replace the cambelt at some point in the near future.

Thanks Rob1

A couple of updates, from this

To this, cherry red hazard light switch & dashboard cover both totalling the sum of £26 bargain

Cheers it's a 1.4T 140 bhp, certainly enough for travelling around town with occasional motorway blast. The car also has darkened headlights fitted from factory.

Looks good, the run out GT Sports were a really nice spec. Also you shouldn't need to change the cambelt as the car doesn't have one! Will be a chain which in theory should last the life of the car only requiring replacement if it starts to rattle or stretch.

Thanks J400UK, that is good news that my car may have a timing chain as I just assumed it would have a belt.
