Ah, I knew you hadn't seen the LeggyRita's yet but not the Recaro retrim. My car and wheels aren't clean though! I washed the wheels last weekend.

I was looking for reviews on wheels for mine and so went to Google first and found this well written and comprehensive piece by a weel known individual. Extremely useful, and I know where my cash will be going!

Great to see you are running a Quaiffe too with big brakes.

I'm deliberating my next move with mine or whether I move it on. The choice is a new MK7 with a performance pack or Golf R or sink more in my Ed 30.....going stage 2+ with diff, clutch, brakes, ARB's new wheel and tyre package for track...that will be about £7-8k for that lot which I could sink into the new GTI.....anyone tried new model?

That pic is an ultraleggera 8.4kg in 18x8 not a superleggera  I have some on my car but I would love a set of Aleggeritas.

....I ordered them from Revolution (didn't I post that info in my OP?).

As a good allround tyre I have no hesitation in recommending Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2's. Many on this forum will agree with me on this.

Well I gave in and have my wheels on their way from Italy 
Could be here by the end of the week. 

Downside...the tyres I've chosen to go on them (Michelin Pilot Super Sports 92 rated) will not be available until mid/end of April.  They're a new size/rating for this tyre since the 88's are available now. All the reviews I've read are very positive. Looks like a tyre that was intended to be able to handle the odd track day also. I didn't want to get into owning track tyres and wheels as I plan 1/2 dozen a year probably at most. I don't mind paying a little more for a 1 tyre solution, especially since this tyre doesn't appear (on paper at least) to be heavily compromised.

I really should have enabled 'notify' for replies. I went for Titanium, I have gunmetal wheels at the moment and I like the contrast against silver. Black is nice, but not on my car. The photos don't do them any justice do they, they are even better looking when they are in front of you. So pleased with them and they're not even on the car yet!

Standard size, 225 40 18 92Y. They're an 8.5"J rim for info.
