Help. Has anyone used these head units?
« on: March 31, 2014, 07:12:24 pm »
Hi guys I'm looking to upgrade the audio in my Golf, and have already fitted a set of JL C5.653 3ways in the doors. I'm looking to get a new head unit and have a sinfoni 45.2 amp to pair it all with which I'll fit in the boot or under the seat.

I'm down to 3 choices but I've nowhere to try any of them so if anyone has any experience I'd really appreciate the guidance before taking the plunge.

Pioneer AVIC-F950DAB including dab antenna for £656.
Alpine INE-925R DAB for £742 + antenna.
Kenwood DNX7230DAB for £800 + antenna.

All seem to offer EQ (8/9/4 band respectively), 24bit DAC's, time alignment (2ch/4/4) etc. The pioneer is a big saving, the alpine is tried and tested quality and the kenwood offers a full 7" screen and Garmin nav so all have their plus points. My music would mainly come from dab, usb stick and disc. I have an iPhone 4 but don't use it for music so only Bluetooth calling really needed, though I think all do BT audio.

So can anyone offer any advice having tried them out??? Mainly looking to know which is best in terms of audio and slickness of use. I'm not into the flashing lights and background etc, more the responsiveness.

Cheers.
