R32 style exhaust.
« on: April 01, 2014, 03:16:17 pm »
A girl at work has just bought a 1.4 tfsi golf gt, its a 2008 and has had a R32 style exhaust fitted by Milltek.

the tips are 100mm. She is currently looking for the paper work for it.

She doesn't like it and is wanting to get rid.

I have a Golf GTI (stage 1) and was thinking that i would buy this off her along with the R32 style bumper and fit it to mine.

SO the real point of my post, will the exhaust fit my car? Milltek site says its a 2.5" exhaust from the cat back for the 1.4tfsi.

the rear tips and back box look bigger than the images i can find of a  1.4tfsi, could a gti exhaust have been fitted by the previous owner?

I think you may need a different pipe between the cat and the back box, as the GTI pipe diameter is 2.75" as opposed to the 2.5" you've mentioned, but whether that's just academic at stage 1 tuning I don't know.

I have a Miltek R32 style rear exhaust (from cat back) on my GTI so it's possible. The bumper defo should fit as it fits all model Golfs I believe.

Moving over to Flickr, sorry for the broken picture links!
