Anyone know what my problem may be?
« on: April 03, 2014, 05:05:52 pm »
Hello all, i have a question regarding my car, its a gti edition 30. Basically, when i put my foot down and the revs are pretty high it makes a really loud sound which i have no idea what it is or whats causing it. Here are 2 videos showing the noise, just before the gear change.

Does anyone know what the problem may be or know whats causing it?

Thanks

Are you running a modified intake?

Can't really tell, have you changed the DV and PVC? Does it pull as it always has? Has anyone looked for any faults via VCDS?

As far as I'm aware everything is standard. It seems to drive the same as in there is no difference in power but the noise is really irritating and sounds like it could cause damage. I haven't had anyone look at it yet as i wanted an idea about what it is so i don't get shafted by the mechanic
