Sports cat & downpipe to standard mk5 gti... Eurojet???
« on: March 22, 2014, 05:33:53 pm »
I'm thinking of getting a 200 cell sports cat & downpipe fitted to my standard GTI to get it ready for remapping, I've heard good things about Eurojet, does any1 recommend them? and where in the UK could I get them from?

I've not heard of anyone on the forum using Eurojet.

Have you considered Pipewerx? They do a DP & Sports cat which mates to OEM for £490, quality looks great and they are UK based

This would be the route I'd take over going for a full turbo-back exhaust.  :happy2:

^ looks good. Does it mate to the OEM cat-back or does it need a reducer?

Sorry to hijack the thread but I have a similar question. My car is booked in for a stage 1 next week at r-tech, is it worth buying a cheaper de cat and down pipe to be fitted before then?

Fit it before your remap, saves you having to go back to get the map tweaked  :happy2:

This is the one I would get:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-GOLF-GTI-2-0-MK5-DOWN-PIPE-05-08-/200558557238?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2eb238b836

The price is actually £149.99, not sure why it is up for £349.99 (I have spoken with them to confirm this, rather than negotiate, plus look at the previously sold ones)

This fits together with the standard system.
