Been down the evo road before, they cost to much for a clean unabused 1 then once you mod to big power the transfer box always go, fantastic cars when there running right tho.
I am wanting to go 400 and that is just a waste in a front wheel drive, 350 what it has got now is a pain to put down in any weather

Why do you want 400bhp

Isn't that out of the range of the stock turbo.

I have done the 4wd to my gti. It's not to bad to do. Loose the spare wheel recess, and the hardware mostly bolts straight in.  You just need to weld the centre prop mount in:-) then it's just a case of the wiring. My car feels so planted now imo best mod I have done coupled the R-tech software just feels awesome :-)

The wiring side is what scares me, the physical making it fit doesn't.

The wiring is not to bad you just need a can high, can low, ignition live, earth, and brake light signal. For me the most scary bit was removing the interior and carpet.

James got 401bhp from a K04 with WMI

That was with the best flowing hardware though and Niki spent 2 weeks tweaking the map
