Awesome Tej  :congrats:

You're right about Gaz. He's a VAG supergeek  :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

I think every single time I've been there he has been doing a Big Turbo conversion on something or another.

Top Geezer  :happy2:

Just a quick update

Run in miles are complete :)

Went upto Statller on Thursday to have my DSG read so the guys there can send the information off to GIAC in the US. They'll be making me a custom DSG file for my needs. After speaking to John and Steve we thought it's best to get the Stage 3 custom file as you can alter and change it later down the line if you aren't happy with some of the changes for free.

The changes I've gone with are;

Revised D mode so that it doesn't go into 6th gear at 30 mph
Rev limit set to 6800rpm (may change this depending on how it feels)
Launch control raised from 3000rpm to 4500rpm
No kickdown in manual mode
Clamping force increased to deal with the extra torque (this will result in snappier and even quicker shifts)

So the plan is to head up to Statller once they have the DSG file, get it applied, then head over to Gaz's so he can do some final checks and make sure everything is running as it should :)

I'll keep this thread updated as it happens.

Tej

Once I've cleaned it properly I'll get some pics up of everything  :happy2:

The other choice I had was HPA themselves, but it meant I'd have to ship them the delecate Mechatronics. This meant an oil and filter change (which I did only a few months ago) and it was more expensive than statller too. Plus having had first hand experience with how Johns GIAC tune handles the extra power, it seemed a no brainer.

Took some pics recently and photoshopped some of them in my spare time :)

Still unsure about the sticker colour and position

I cleaned the car literally 2 days ago, but our roads have made it dirty again, even the engine bay!

Looking good mate  :happy2:, so hard to keep a car clean this time of year. Personally i'd put the sticker on the other side so it look symmetrical with the R32 badge or get a smaller one as it dominates that side now.
