How does the MkIV compare to the MkV then? My mates have MkVs but I've always wanted a MkIV R32..

I prefer my MK5 personally. Main reasons are the refinement differences between the two. I think my opinion would be different had I done it the other way round though (have a MK4 first).

Plus my MK5 is DSG and the MK4 is manual, I'm pretty quick with gear changes but you just cannot beat a DSG change for performance and smoothness.

The MK4 is really a car you can love though, full of character. I can see why people always miss them and end up buying another one after selling theirs

I wouldn't unless you plan on going FI with it, you'll miss the shove of your torquey diesel. The noise does make up for this though haha

Just take yours to darkside developments and they'll turn it into a complete monster

Thanks mate! I really like them. But like the rotas too. I think I'll be sticking with these though for now  :happy2:

Probably put rotas in for sale section soon

Haha yeah for a short period. Thought I'd try the Mk4 but I didn't end up liking it as much as my Mk5, so I got rid of it.

Haven't updated this in a while!

Not a lot has happened but theres lots to come very soon

Firstly got a mod I've wanted for flipping ages! Finally got it but now need to fit them and then finally I can remap the car

Also went to a local car meet up last week with a couple friends and got some snaps :)

The final update for the time being are carbon fibre mirror caps. These are complete case replacements and look stunning!

Only took 5 minutes a side to install as well which is a bonus

More to come shortly!

Cheers pal

Cams should give a 15-20bhp gain throughout the midrange and higher revs. This couped with my other mods should give me around 290bhp  :driver:

Another update!

Fitted a brace thats essentially a Unibrace UB copy. Very pleased with it and actually made a bit of difference, mainly noticed over bumps and sharper turns

Heres some pics
