Facebook/Twitter Style Tagging System??

Is this something that people would be interested in on this forum??

It would mean we can do this @richwig83 etc...  and you would be notified about this in the profile menu item on the drop down menu.

I think I'd rather prefer thread tags to make it easier for searches, rather than having to use google. How would the tag work? Could I type @rich and it would offer me options like rich1, richard, richB, richwig in a drop down thing or would I had to type the entire username?

Youd have to type the persons username.... and therefore know it.

How do you mean thread tags stealth? You mean if you start a thread you can tag it... 'DV' Forge'  'Valve' etc?

'@' tags would be useful I think. We all have so many participated threads. Sometimes we just skip the ones that show all the time but if you knew somebody commented/addressed you directly you'd definitely go into the thread and read it/reply.

I presume there are some thread word tags already. Just not manual ones. The search function already identifies the 33,000 threads on DVs etc. ;-)

Will definitely be implementing this feature. Just hope the developer cracks on and finishes it quickly!

It will also to a username "auto complete" so as you type in.... @ri    for example, it throw up matching usernames.
