if the snow comes, i would much rather damage the wheels that i have on now rather than my red ones which would be alot more expensive to repair than these

these are the pictures from my detail the other month

Detail day again

The last time the car had a wash mitt touch it was back in November. I’ve jet washed and snow foamed it two or three times during that time but that is all so I was hoping for good paint under the grime that was on top.

Before pics

Wouldn’t be a detail without the snow foam shot

2bucket method was used

Once it was washed and cleaned it looked like this, not too bad

Iron – x doing it thing on the paint work

Then onto claying, the car wasn’t as bad as I expected to be honest, although I was not a massive fan of this clay, I will be returning to megs clay bar.

Worst part of the car was the lower part of the rear bumper

I had a large number of tar spots, autoglym intensive bug and tar remover made light work of the spots, unfortunately I did not take any pics
Here was the paintwork after decontamination

Here are some pics after the first stage, using a yellow lake country pad and Megs 83

Here are a few pics after a second pass using an orange lake country pad and Megs 80

Moved onto the engine bay

Exhaust 50/50

Arches

Summer wheels back on

And car back on the ground

Here are a few finished pics, rubbish photos on the iphone though im afraid

One after at the petrol station chilling

Awesome  Many hours did you have to put into the car doing this all? All the hard work has paid off coming into the spring/summer months  :happy2: :happy2:

thank you very much, i started about 8 and was finished by about 6 with very little breaks

Amazing looking car hats off :congrats:

thank you very much

no its just one plate on sticky pads; the plate is a pressed metal plate

3 weeks tomorrow me and the car are making a trip the the ring

got a few things to do before then; one thing mainly is my dissertation but others include

fitting my uprated fuel pump; changing the stage 2 map for stage 2+ and hopefully getting cruise control fitted

Are you staying with the bluefin for the stage 2+ or are you going with a revo map ?
