FAUL CODES 00768 AND 00771
« on: April 08, 2014, 08:58:49 pm »
Has anyone got any ideas, my Edition 30 has started to miss fire tonight under load and I'm getting these fault codes up.
It seems to be exactly like a coil pack down however I would of thought my diagnostics would of picked up a cylinder miss fire.
Only other thing I'm thinking is some kind of fuel pressure sensor??
I've cleared the codes and these 2 keep coming up together.

Fault codes are:

1,
00768 rear heater core temp sensor (g154)
Sporadic 001-upper limit exceeded

2,
00771 fuel level sensor (g)
Sporadic 001-upper level exceeded

Thanks mate, with that link showing 000768 and mentioning a possible miss fire/coil pack I think I might start there before doing anything else as that confirms my first thoughts.
Other than that I'll take it somewhere for a proper diagnosis if its not that.

Cheers mate, sorted it, my codes on the reader gave me a right bum steer !
I bought a couple of sensors first and no luck, then moved onto a coil pack and swapped them one at a time and sod's law the last one was faulty and all sorted now.

Thanks for your help, the codes you supplied did help.
