yea mate cars always run on 99...dont think cam follower has ever been changed ..best get this looked into then as never heard about it..nice one

As Betty posted, order one from Alex's shop and yes it can be bought from the VW main dealer or TPS. Treat the Cam Follower, along the DV, as a serviceable item and change it once a year, especially the CF on a mapped car.

Lol exact same part. Think he just stocks them so its easier for people to just buy from him instead of finding the part number etc

Once a year is a bit excessive for the cam follower IMHO. I just replaced mine for the first time (no receipts for it being done by previous owner) at 70k and it was barely worn.

I'd suggest replacing every 3 years in normal use on a tuned car. Only the yanks seem to have to change them all the time with the poor oil & fuel they run over there

Lol pretty much everyone changes them every 10-20k


For the sake of a £30 part, i'd happily change it every 10k.

just found out that gnj performance is only 10mins from where i live and they do the shark map also and will replace the cam follower , revision g d.v and panel filter..happy days

ano mate just been looking at the revo but the price is high ..but i suppose if you want good then u have to pay .haha...ill have a look at the evoms now ....having a standered golf gti and starting from scratch theres to much to pick from
