Does the bog standard Ed30 CD player/radio only have the facility to hold one CD? How would i know if mine has a 6 CD autochanger?

I think it should be the RCD500 which will load 6 cds in the front slot!

My Edition 30 just had the single disc RCD300.

Sion got that replaced with a RNS510 though  :happy2:

The 6 CD unit RCD500 has a 'Load' button which the single CD RCD300 doesn't have I found this out when I first got mine.

And the RCD500 has ten button across the bottom and the RCD300 only has eight!  :happy2:

 :P :booty:

When I bought my R32 they didn't advertise it as having the 6 disc in dash and during my journey home I noticed the extra buttons and then the 'LOAD' button! Happy days!  :jumpmove:

WHM - where did you source a RNS510 from, who fit this for you and at what cost?

Phil - I managed to get one via a guy on the www.vwnavi.com classifieds.

Have a search on here though as several have bought from ebay sellers and have got good deals - I'd budget somewhere between £500 - £700 at the moment.

As for fitting - its a 20 - 30 min self install job.  Again, I'm pretty sure there are links on here somewhere with installation instructions - I would look them up but a bit short of time at work at the moment.

Happy hunting  :happy2:

My ED30 was another with a 'bonus' RCD500 thrown in for free, arrived to view it at the dealers and found it had the 500 and cruise that had not been noted on the advert, got it home and had a proper nosey round and found the Soundpack amp under the passenger seat and an ipod link in the glovebox, result!
