H&r anti roll bars
« on: April 12, 2014, 06:59:45 pm »
Just looking to order some now.. There's an option for 2wd without xenons and an option just for 2wd

I don't have xenons but the without option is not in stick and the 2wd option is in stock.. Is there really a difference between the two? Cheers

The difference between the 2 kits is the shape of the bar hoop to clear the levelling sensors for the xenons, so I'd say that the 'with' kit will fit both xenon and non xenon cars  :happy2:

I have the 26/22mm kit and can't fault it, ran it on the ed30 for 4 years and plan to put them on the ed35 when I get chance, real quality bit of kit  :happy2:

Yeah solid mate, decent bushes too as mine stayed silent for over 3 years without any extra lube etc  :happy2:

I did have the 28/24 kit fitted briefly but found it a bit too much for a road car especially on a wet bumpy road, not so much a problem for your plans though I'd have thought?

Can't decide what to go for mate.. It will see a fair bit of track so should be okay.. When you say alittle to much do you mean ride quality or light rear end?

Little bit of both tbh mate...
Found it made the front end quite stiff and caused the ride quality to get towards being uncomfortable for the rough roads round by me, the increase in torsional strength seemed to make the front end lose its compliance over bumps, almost like the bar was too stiff and causing the opposing wheel to overreact to bumps?
As for the rear end it made it very lively which on a bumpy wet road made life VERY interesting lol! Handled great (I always run front soft rear hard) but almost made you slower as you had to be careful not to lose the back end..
Saying that I was only running WALK, trans mount and VWR springs with OE dampers which may have not worked as well as possible with the larger bar?

Hmm does make it a tough decision mate its one thing what worrys me about roll bars as my car is also stripped Out I may end up with a very dangerous rear end

You could always run the rear bar on soft to calm the rear end down?
I had my 26/22 set on front soft rear hard and for me it was perfect, very planted car in all weathers but a huge improvement over stock and still had a playful rear end which never let go on me even with my ham fisted driving style
The larger 28/24 set were still great and again a huge improvement but for me on a road car that my missus drives (enthusiastically!) I felt they were just at the upper end of lively on a typical bumpy B road and just that little bit too compromised in regard to ride quality, it's all very subjective though and I know people who have the 28/24 ones and love them  :happy2:

U want H&R Luke.

Best quality kit available.  They don't rust, bushes don't squeak, fit perfectly, and work.

I only ever supply the 28/24mm kit. It won't make you spin out on the first corner.
