Please can anyone come up with any ideas what my problem maybe.I am experiencing a knocking vibration sound that occours when im on the biting point of the clutch. When im in 1st or reverse typically it gets worse when you put the car under more load i.e with the handbrake is applied.i have been on other forums and found a few gti mk5 guys with eaxactly the same issue but no resolution.my dealer has already put a new clutch kit and dual mass flywheel in the car which has made it slightly better.can anyone help? It doesnt happen any other time other than when you are in that small area of travel on the clutch pedal with a gear engaged and have found the biting point and are almost cleared the transition point on the clutch.Has anyone else experienced this issue or even better solved it????
Thanks in advance

Isn't that just a normal characteristic of a dual mass flywheel? Mine feels the same, but have been assured by both dealers (whom i dont usually trust anyway) and more importantly a couple of tuners that it was normal..

When depressing my clutch I get a click from the engine, I just turn up the toonage or floor it, this instantly cures the clicking sound. On a serious note, clutch feels fine and works fine so it doesnt bother me
sorry I couldnt be of more help

they do make funny noises !
I have however found that the dogbone mount insert helped a little, then I moved onto VWR lower mount which made a huge difference. the noise doesnt go away but it does change
