I had an ED30 before the S3, tbh mate there ain't a lot between them and if anything the ED30 is a bit more of an exciting drive so you are deffo making the right choice with the ED30!

The 4WD, brakes and build quality are fantastic in the S3 but it does everything so well that it can make the driving experience a little dull at times. The ED30 can be a bit of a handful when its been mapped etc., which I found great fun. It used to make me giggle when the front wheels spun up at 80 mph in the wet and the brakes decided that they didn't want to work when slowing down from a ton plus! I know it sounds crazy but it adds a little charachter to the car! You don't get any of that in the S3 which is why I mention it can be a little dull!
