I would imagine a buckled one piece alloy can't be fixed? Also, would you trust a repaired alloy on 300bhp+? I wouldn't...

Moving over to Flickr, sorry for the broken picture links!

Had my wheels balanced yesterday as I had some vibration coming through the steering wheel at motorway speeds, was having a cuppa when the guy came over and asked me to come take a look at something  :scared:

Followed him into the workshop and was shown one of my wheels has a very slight buckle  :sad1:

The air went blue as I cursed our crap roads and bloody pot holes  :fighting:

Am I right in thinking it can be fixed or is it more cost effective to just replace the wheel?

Thanks for any help

Dave

If it's not too bad it should be fixable

Swap the TD Pro Race 1.2's for something a bit less common, break the mould. Seems like a good time while one is broken...

We need a Lakeside KFC meet again just before or after Christmas ideally. Would be good to see what people have been up to lately.

Well finally got hold of some proper car cleaning equipment after a few visits to @DANBOY66

So much easier and quicker, not to mention safer on the paintwork

Here's how my car looked after a good covering

And that was after 5 minutes of dwelling, haven't got any final results pics as I was running out of daylight  :sad1:

Current cleaning method is

Rinse car
Snow foam
Agitate with valet pro brush around sills etc
Bilberry my wheels and agitate with wheel woollies
Rinse car
Two bucket method using chemical guys wash n gloss shampoo
Rinse car
Dry car off

Ran out of time and the car was only waxed not long ago so just topped up with some sonax bsd, poor boys on the wheels, Meg's endurance the tires and some Meg's glass cleaner

Comments or advice welcome

Dave

Definitely got the bug and I blame you entirely  :signLOL:

Be interesting to get some figures on Monday of what power I'm getting finally  :jumpmove:

Machine polishing sounds great  :drinking: but will no doubt cost me more money if I get the hang of it  :notworthy:

Just hope the rollers are kind and don't ruin me  :fighting:

Well today was the moment of truth wondering what power my car was making once and for all  :driver:

Arrived at Surrey rolling road just before 1, after struggling to find it amongst all the buildings  :signLOL:

Was very happy with the results of the runs, pulled 348bhp on the first run and 353bhp on the second with 345ftlbs torque  :happy2:

I'll let justin reveal his figures himself but they were consistent with his previous dyno at rtech

Just a shame james didn't put his ttrs on for a run
