Had my car MOT'd today which it passed as I expected but did make me laugh as the tester had put 2 rather odd advisories which made me laugh

1. Under trays fitted obscuring some underside components

2. Engine cover fitted obscuring some components in the engine bay

Now as far as I'm aware any under trays fitted to my car are factory fitted by audi and the same on all modern day cars and the audi tts engine cover I have fitted is smaller than the standard one that also came fitted as standard  :stupid: :signLOL:

Only noticed these after I had driven off and couldn't be asked to drive back to question them but made me laugh non the less

I've always had them for the under-trays, standard thing, as they aren't allowed to remove parts to check.

Under the lodgic of not being able to remove parts to check, just fabricate covers for everything then they can't check anything. Got my MOT Saturday so will see how it goes...

Moving over to Flickr, sorry for the broken picture links!

My MOT station pit similar too. Bit odd almost cars have plastic under trays and engine covers.

Mine also had a adv. for high level brake light..., but still passed

Not much of an update just been enjoying driving the car  :driver:

I've definitely noticed it suffers from heat soak a lot more than my Gti did, which I'm putting it down to the extra power and heat produced

This recent hot weather has not helped and I'm seriously considering upgrading the inter cooler to something a bit more capable

Apr is out the window as it's way over priced

THS are supposed to be decent

Air tec are another I've heard good things about and peron are apparently decent just unsure which to go for

I'd be getting a direct replacement rather than an additional front mount

Any other suggestions or experience would be helpful

Thanks

Dave

Had my wheels balanced yesterday as I had some vibration coming through the steering wheel at motorway speeds, was having a cuppa when the guy came over and asked me to come take a look at something  :scared:

Followed him into the workshop and was shown one of my wheels has a very slight buckle  :sad1:

The air went blue as I cursed our crap roads and bloody pot holes  :fighting:

Am I right in thinking it can be fixed or is it more cost effective to just replace the wheel?

Thanks for any help

Dave
