New ED30 Owner

Hello, I bought a Red ED30 at the start of the month... i believe it has 19 inch BBS wheels on, are these just a bigger version of the standard 18's ?

Basically i want to go back to 18's what are my 19's worth? front tyres are very good, rears are starting to perish but plenty of tread



Car is standard apart from the wheels, 36,000 miles i didn't really do much research and wished now id gone for one with nav, armrest and xenons etc etc... can these all be added easily!

Also i have lights under the door that do not work, can these be switched on?

Welcome mate, you wont regret buying an Edition 30. Those wheels are BBS CK's and the Edition 30's from factory come with BBS CH's so different wheels all together you might be able to get a PX deal with someone if you want the original 18" back. Regarding the lights under the door which don't work are they the lights in this picture? If so they are only reflectors from factory but LED's can be retrofitted. :happy2:

yeah that's the ones in my door, to be honest I hadn't looked if they were lights or reflectors!

is there a wiring loom in the door already then? and what model/spec golf would I get the lights from?

Shweeeet looking Eddy you have there! Have a look in the review I did re Door Warning Lights, all info you'll need is in there....

And everything can be retrofitted, no problem at all. Xenons are around £400/£500, Satnav (RNS510) can be had from £300 and a latter LED version one and can be had from £400+. Armrests pop up from time to time in the For Sale section.

Those wheels (if geniune and mint) are worth around £600 IMO with those tyres. They're £1000 brand new. What size and offset are they, I may know someone interested.  :innocent:

wheels are ET44 8J.... is value them higher than that! they have good year tyres and wheels are 1100 new without tyres . previous owner said they were an option from vw when bought new. thanks I'll check the link for the door lights in abit
