WHen I bought my car, it had cheap and nasty tyres on it.  I found launch control very useful for getting rid of them but I haven't used it since!

Think that reflects my comment above  :signLOL:

Isn't launch control a bit of a waste of time - unless you want to leave a great big 11 down the road and take a couple of mm of tread off your tyres?

That's what happened when my mate showed me in his DSG GTI  :sad1:

Isn't the point of launch control on any car meant to be to assist your start and minimise wheel spin, not encourage it. Or are you guys just meaning in comparison to having traction control fully on?
I'm sure if you could compare using the launch control to having no aid at all, it wouldshow to be helping to reduce wheel spin.

Hi,

In my opinion it's awesome if you can master the power.

If you put your foot down fully on the accelerator as you lift your foot from the break and the car will spin on the spot.
If you can give it just enough on the accelerator you can manage to peel away very fast with no spin.

Launch control in the dry is sweet  :happy2:
