Hello
« on: May 01, 2014, 03:45:50 pm »
Hello, just picked up my 56 plate mk5 gti yesterday. Loving it so far. Black 3dr, lowish miles, all pretty standard. It's kind of a 2nd car as the main family car is a Passat Est. Golf is replacing my VR6 Corrado Storm that I sold last week .

Don't have much in the way of plans for the car but that will change I'm sure. Will look to change the stereo out at some point, just standard RCD 310 in it just now. What are my options if I want sat nav and bluetooth? Anything OE an easy fit or am I better with an after market.

Might look to change the wheels as I'm not 100% on the 17" Monzas just now. Would prefer a BBS CH style wheel.

Need to get a 2nd key made up as it only has 1, £220 from the stealers is a bit steep though.

Stereo and a wheel change will be all I'll be looking at just now. Gonna leave the suspension standard as I put coilovers on the Corrado and it made it too impractical.

What are the VW options for stereos?

Monzas are in ok condition but the tyres are nasty budgets. Either go with a tyre change or swap the alloys as well.

Just gonna enjoy it for the summer.

VW options with stereo's would have to be RNS510 everyone seems to recommend them, changing tyres or the wheels altogether is your choice if your happy with the cars current look or fancy a change.
