misfire count

hi ive just checked my misfire count on vcds and i recorded a 4 misfires under load on cylinder one and i wondered if this it anything to worry about?

Could be an indication of needing new plugs or coilpack within the troubleshooting list..

ive just recently changed the plugs.
so its not an acceptable misfire then?

Misfires are not acceptable, period.

Mine started on one cylinder a few months back, was a dying coilpack. Swap coilpacks with another cylinder and see if it follows the coilpack

I would just change all the coil packs.

Misfires actually happen on standard cars out of the factory. But a count of 4 is a bit too high on one cyl.

It depends on whether your car was warm or the count was done straight from a cold startup?

Believe it or not I had over 25 counts and seat said it was normal !

resurrecting my post because the problems still there and i dont know where to go from here.

when start up from cold, i get shaking going through the car in high gears (4-6) at 2k revs, if i put the foot down it doesnt do it but cruising it does.
ive changed the coil packs, fuel filter and spark plugs but the problems still the same if not worse. ive done a vcds scan today but no errors and i also did a live data collect and it was misfiring on cylinder one, upto 6 misfires.

the strange thing is when it gets up to temp it stops shaking?

where to go from here? is it an injector? anything i can check on vcds?

might be the injector or carbon build up on intake valves.. try different injector first..have a look on the gap on spark plug again and check wiring sockets for corrosion etc.. Hope you get it sorted mate.

cheers for that  just wish it was easy to swap the injectors, if i have to strip it all to get to it i may aswell just put a new injector in.
i have looked at those on vcds but it may aswell be in a different language lol

anyone tried bg44k injector cleaner or is it the same rubbish as redline?
also if i use the wynnes egr cleaner do i have to do an oil change?

Replace the injector on the effected cylinder.Carbon build up being the main cause. clean the others and replace the duff one to cure .

That will cure your issue.

Extremely common fault on cars over 60k and getting more and more common.

Perhaps check on you tube for how to replace injector on 2.0TFSI.
