Letters FOR 4 door vehicles

AB
AM
L
CB
AK

Keep in mind that these part numbers are meant to be used in conjunction with your PR codes

Here's the decorder link read their help link

http://igorweb.org/equidec/

Your PR vehicle PR codes can be found in the front of the service book or in your boot on a sticker underneath the boot carpet.

Look at this link it will answer your questions

http://www.my-gti.com/2269

Get yourself a 30 byte CECM and you'll be able to code more items to work on your vehicle eg static cornering fogs etc!

This is what I mean

 my part no is 1K0 937 049 N
i have just found a list on ukmvivs that lists my part no as
1K0 937 049 N = 21 Byte (Highline) so is there any need to change it if that is right and i have a 21 byte highline any way ?

Post a link for that part number you said you got from ukmkivs -  as it's not the same as your original question?

You done everything correctly and I can't see why your existing CECM will not work from the link you posted.

His link says highline so give it a go. :happy2:

Any problems come back there's always peps who will help!

Remember when clocks are fitted it will have have to have the CECM coding altered to know the clocks are Highline.
So a box needs ticked with VCDS, similar to the cornering fog link if you at that as an example.

If I was you I would now send Eddie-NL a pm and see if he'll offer any advice,as he's done plenty of your type of mod!

Take a full scan of the car and have screen shots of the CECM module 9 for each byte so he can see what's ticked.

Worth a PM.
