Hey up fellas,

Thought I would get some use out of my VAG-COM today. Decided to pop out and do some quick 3rd gear pulls, unfortunately I couldn't get a clean pull to the redline before it started to rain, but this graph gives a good idea what its requesting and what im getting, or in this case what im not getting...

Floored it at around 3100 RPM.

Its a MK6 GTI Revo Stage1 - Is it down to an OEM HPFP why its not making specified amount? All info welcome

Thanks

*Edit - N75 and another boost graph on page 2*

Boost leak?

DV and all pipes are fine. PCV valve was changed about 2 months ago. Hard to see it been that. Any other ideas?

What the max boost its should be able to hold for a period of time. Dont get me wrong it pulls hard for a stage 1 - 276bhp.

Have you checked the pipe that joins the turbo to the intercooler?

It's common for this to leak, and it's a cheap fix. Look for an oily mark on the undertray beneath it.

Other than that I'm out of ideas. Could be a small crack in the turbine housing, but that is unlikely

No i havent checked that, you got a picture or a part number please?

Do you think it should match the requested boost and keep matching all the way on stock parts?

Part for the ED30 is here: http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,81510.0.html

Not sure if it's the same for the mk6 though.

It's at the left side of the engine by the alternator  :happy2:

I think its just due to the fact the revo is mapped aggressively to maximise power delivery in any car. They request more boost then cars can generally produce. If you have dynoed the car with great numbers, theres nothing to worry about.

What are your boost-timing-fuel settings? Usually these are setup, so that the gap between request and delivery is as small as possible. This way you will get all the boost you can, without the car trying to push extra. I would drop the boost down a bit.
