Best Touran Forum and advice
« on: April 24, 2014, 05:58:38 pm »
Hi All,

Looking to get a Touran soon and was wondering what is the best forum for the Touran?

Is there any engine model I should avoid?

Has to be a diesel due to the mileage it will be clocking up and excellent MPG being high on my list of wants.

Any optional extras pre installed I should look out for if its not too easy to retrofit?

think it would be 09 plate onwards

Also what is the PCD for the wheels?

Budget not really an issue.

Any help would be nice.

P.S - Can they be remapped  :ashamed:

Yes, they use the same engines as the Golf, and they can be remapped the same.

I think most of them are low-average spec, most bits can be retrofitted to them like the mk5/6. Same wheel fitments etc.

I have a CR140 engine in my Tiguan and it is way more refined than my PD engine from my old mk5, you'll be surprised. Plus mine is mapped and it goes much better  :drinking:
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)

cheers think I will go for the 1.6 Bluemotion as the MPG looks great on those.

If that is the 1.6 105 with a five speed, then they are as flat as a fart for a car that size and you are always up and down the gears.
Would be nice if it came in a six speed.
