Hi Kris,

I've scanned that thread and it seems no one has purchased any of the links in question, I'm looking to be recommended a set from someone that's purchased a pair previously.

I purchased the black inner ones and they are at the post office waiting to be collected.

If you haven't bought them by the time I've fitted then ill pm you a review  :happy2:

These?

Yes mate

Just got the lights and they are very cheap looking. Come with a snapped clip. Had a couple of defects in the chrome rings and the side lights are in the same place as they are in a standard light.

Bad news Adam, I assume you'll send them back?

I've just purchased the following, should get it all fitted next Saturday. I'm just hoping that I don't have to undertake the dreaded 6 o'clock mod.

HIDS: http://www.hids-direct.co.uk/h7-ultra-35w-slim-canbus-hid-xenon-conversion-kit/

Lamps: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/380868571464

Sidelights: http://www.hids-direct.co.uk/501-w5w-gen-2-canbus-25-smd-led-bulbs-white-1/

Went for a 5000k kit in the end, was between that and the 4300k, I hope the 5000k won't be too non-oem.

Looking at the bulb type looks as tho you have bought OEM spec ie takes D2S bulbs? Oem as far as I know take D2S for dipped and H7 for flash or high beam

Argh this is turning into be a nightmare!

Can anyone else confirm that the kit I have brought is incorrect? On the eBay page it states the bulbs type to be D2S/H7?!

Edit: According to the below link they do take H7 bulbs?

From what I know mate theres two headlight types. One oem spec for those with factory xenons which take d2s for dipped and h7 for flash and then there are those which are oem xenon look ie for us guys withs halogens and therefore use h7 for both dipped and mainbeam/flash. Bare in mind factory xenons use h7 just for flash and the shutter lifts on dipped beam for high beam.
Standard lights use h7 for high/mainbeam

Argh, I'm hoping these are the correct ones, I'll do a trial fit next week when they arrive just to be sure!

Can anyone else with Depo headlights confirm?

If your car didn't come with xenons from factory I'm pretty sure they won't fit unless you buy d2s bulbs, igniters, balasts and the kufatec wiring loom adaptors also.

Yes mate they are wrong. You want h7 + h7! Quickly cancel your order and get the ones on the first mentioned link!

Also blokes saying that if I send them back I will get a refund. Not sure whether to open a case or not though and where I would stand if he doesn't refund me?

That's a shame mate. So they going back then. Do you have any pics you could upload?

They look the same as in the pics. The defects are to small to photo graph but it's just the fact they are there. Also the glass ball sits to high so there is a few mil gap where you can see into the back of the unit. There basically gti lights with xenon balls added and made as cheap as possible.

I'd open a case cos it's a dispute regardless. Get recorded delivery too. Better to spend a few quid than loose £250. I assume that's what you paid because I was watching them also. I was a bit suspicious as the pics were quite dark and was only 3. I'll be buying mine of eurowagons £218 delivered and read good reviews from this forum :happy2:

I've told the bloke I won't because of his eBay but I think I need to for piece of mind.

Yep I've been watching the eurowagen ones for over a year now lol! That's what I'll be getting once I get my refund.

But I was suspicious but thought I'd take a chance and see. Massive regret now haha!

I see they sold the other set though. The bloke told me he had sold 20 sets with no complaints. I sent him a pic of r32 with sidelights on and the eurowagens link and he offered a refund straight away lol! The 20 others must have been clue less to what genuine ones look like

If you open a case won't show any where so won't impact him. What will is how you score him on your feedback. If he's true to his word, and it was me I'd put a neutral feedback. See if he will refund your postage too. I'd be arguing the fact they not as advertised therefore you shouldn't be out of pocket over it. Long shot though...
