aftermarket ipod cable problems
« on: April 29, 2014, 07:14:34 pm »
Hi all, just bought my self a 2005 golf gti last week, i was under the assumption it would have a oem ipod connector built in to the glove box this car obviously didnt come with one

anyway i found the ipod cable in the compartment right of the steering wheel (the ad said it had ipod connection so was looking everywhere for it)

I've plugged my ipod in but now im clueless on how to play it?!?!

I assumed it would be like any other vag where you press CD twice and it'll recognise it but as this cable is aftermarket its obviously not working like that, some has said that it might be plugged in to the cd changed input (i have a 6 cd changer in the armrest) if this i correct how do i access it?

Anyone have a similar kit to point me in the right direction?

When the ipod is connected it charges and has the manufacturer of the cable appear on the screen so its definitely all plugged in and working.

Cheers
