VCDS issue.
« on: May 03, 2014, 05:22:55 pm »
Hi All,

A friend recently brought the VAG-COM set up but in an attempt to use it we were unable to do so due to multiple errors.

I was attempting the most basic of commands (one click to unlock all doors) but the following error:

After further investigation, apparently pressing "no" should still work but this error then displayed:

Can anyone advise or point me in the right direction?

try installing the latest 12.12.2 version and see what happens.

And sorry to ask, is it a genuine ross tech cable?

Hi,

I think in the end we did upgrade to that version and it still didn't sort it, I'll double check though.

Yes, lead is genuine, should have mentioned that. Rather annoying as it's the only opportunity I've had to have a little play on these and it didn't work, typical!

Did you try clicking "Yes"?
Sarcasm for free. Anything after that can only be considered as a bonus.

Just because you think you know something, doesn't make you an expert if you've just read it on the internet, y'know.

Is there a fault code for that convenience module?

As far as I'm aware, no.

I tried to amend various different modules but still had the same error.

Tried that Eddie, left it at all 0's and made my own up.

Will re-install the software again and give it another whirl.

Thanks for the comments so far.
