In regards to coils, I think you need to decide what it is you want to be able to adjust and go from there really… Personally I went for Bilstein B14 as I knew I wouldn’t use the adjustability offered by the B16 kit as I don’t track my car.
I'm wanting some better dampers rather than coilovers, I wont use the adjustment of coilovers so it's just a waste of money!

Once done then you leave it there. Almost the same with the preload/rebound adjustment, once you find the setting you like best then it usually stays there.
