No I didn't, checked all the wiring, made sure the plugs were in correctly. Still no clue :sad1:

Do you know the manufacture date of the donor car for the MDI kit? If you did the retrofit yourself, do you remember if you plugged in a new quadlock cable or just inserted a smaller multipin plug in the existing connector?

Morning,

just to reincarnate an old thread, My RCD310 is doing exactly the same... Green collar MDI lead, phone is an Iphone 5, it charges the phone but says the device isnt supported. Cable code is 5N0035554H

Can I assume its the MDI thats the issue? Plug in my Ipod cable and all is fine.

Any ideas?

What version MDI is it? Pretty sure you just need to update its firmware.

I had an H green lead working on an MDI B and F unit.

See http://www.my-gti.com/3486/volkswagen-media-device-interface-mdi-firmware-upgrade-0530-0546-kw22-2012

Worth pulling out your unit to see what version it is on the sticker
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)

Thanks for this, it worked!

Only gripe is the sound quality... its awful compared to the iPod, what would this be most likely be due to?
