BBS CH reps any good??
« on: May 06, 2014, 06:56:24 pm »
Hi I've been having a good scan of the wheel thread & as a result I'm looking at various rim options.  I would love a set of CH rims however I want to get peoples opinions on the replicas. eg. How heavier are they compared to the originals? Do they wear well or are they prone to cracking?
Cheers

All un-branded reps are a risk IMO. I can understand why people buy them price wise, but they're cheaper for a reason.

Yeah it does put me off to be fair. I had a set of RS4 reps many many years ago & they were pretty poor quality. I'll keep my eye out for some oe ones if they come at the right price!

You could consider the BBS VZ's or CO's, similar in design but not that pricey compared to the CH's!

As said they're cheaper for a reason, maybe consider saving for while to get genuine's.

Nothing wrong with them on a daily car. I'd rather kerb 3-400 quid's worth rather than £1k+

I would be interested to know the weight difference between the originals & the reps.  Does anyone know for sure? Cheers
