Loss of MPG

HELP AGAIN please guys!!

About ten days ago my car was in the stealers having the jerky gear changes looked at, which after the engineer took for a test drive he couldn't/didn't notice anything serious but suggested reseting the gear box, so i agreed and they said to monitor it as its under warranty anyway.
However..... iv been down the coast last week, i drove down monday on a mixture of A & B roads, normally when i do this trip i achieve 34/36 mpg however on the way down i only had 29mpg, now iv just driven back i only had 27!! Driving style hasnt changed so im surprised at this loss.

Do you think it could be related to the reset or is this another issue?

I have a DSG, run on Shell V Power 99% of time. The car is 100% standard.

Any ideas???

How many miles have you done since it was at the stealers? \Chances are that the battery was disconnected and that the ECU is re-adapting LTFT etc.... This could certainly be cause if you have done very few miles since having it back.

Climatic conditions, alot cooler weather, will run more richer . I wouldnt worry:happy2:

Thanks for the reply Dom, like you said there is a good chance it was removed when the reset was done, however i know it was removed last saturday as i popped in to get some oil, they said they would do it for me, fair enough, though when they finished topping it up the sensor broke and the warning wouldn't go off so they disconnected the battery then.

Since having the car back i have probably only done 150-200 miles, is that to soon do you think?

No, i dont have any power loss or anything, it drives the same just seems to be drinking more.

ive noticed a loss of mpg recently probably due to the itg intake sucking in more air but today out of knowhere the turbo died and the car was running strong no loss of power just noticed the mpg had gone down from about 26 to around 23.

Perhaps not everyone is concerned about it??.

Mine is drinking more in the past week, as i do monitor Mpg more then i should

had a long run in mine yesterday, mixture of traffic and dual carriageway, and saw 37 mpg overall.

light is just on, with 370 on trip.

No, i dont have any power loss or anything, it drives the same just seems to be drinking more.

You running standard so less likely to notice a power drop

I notice mine gets worse when its colder, unless cold makes my right foot heavier maybe?

I was gonna start a new thread, but if i can use this related one:-

Ok, so i've done approx 400 miles in mine since purchase. My daily commute is 10 miles each way - 2 miles to motorway and a mile after coming off motorway. I seem to be getting around 30mpg although i'm having to drive abit "grannyish" to achive this.

I appreciate that its getting colder and after 10 miles the car's only just warmed up. So is 30mpg about right?
