The WMI kits themselves aren't that expensive, it is the labour involved to fit them. Worth every penny mind in my opinion.

Please elaborate  :booty: :booty:???

Elaborate on the installation or performance gains???  :P

Just want to know what every one thinks about the gains. I don't have revo software so being able to change the timing etc is of no use to me lol

It certainly helps, as for no Revo. You'll have to get custom map or alternative use APR race map which I think is 105octane.

This is to make use of the meth.

Already got APR, so getting that changed is no problem ;)

I believe its the 105 octane map. They do ask you sign a disclaimer because your technically not using race fuel.  This is knowledge from a friends ED30 with WMI/APR MAP.

R-tech will tune for WMI. See what they did with James's car here. 401bhp

Just shows what is possible with a K04 and the right hardware

http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,43854.msg518465.html#msg518465

And on JKM's rollers it made more power than some big turbo cars with an immensely flat power curve (no boost controller used here)

He asked Niki for an all out tune to see what the engine could cope with. Niki wouldn't do this level of tune unless you were happy to take the risk. This is the result of 450lb/ft of torque.

It was a BWA engine which is known to only take about 360bhp with corresponding torque. A BYD/ CDL engine can take 400+bhp all day long.

I was speaking with the same guy about this a few days ago. basically the Mixture is 50/50 split to enable him to run it at the 104octane setting. does any one know if REVO have a 104 file for the "general customer"

P.S - If I go the WMI route I would want my kit in the front. this will cut half the time of the set up too

Yes

James fitted a CDL lump (see further on in his build thread) and it's happy now.

It was good of him to prove how strong the BWA engine is  :congrats:

Is this correct - a lot of guys have BWA engines make the KO4 conversion slap on meth and are fine running slightly more or so i'm lead to believe.

It's all down to the torque, that's what kills engines. 360bhp is usually known as the safe limit

Was you at BHP by any chance?

AEM recommend to only use 50/50 mixture.

Revo is just allows you to alter the the map by up the timing. I can run timing 7 where before i can only run 5. Def feel more of a kick but nothing to boast about. But for £300 its def a good mod, keeps engine temps low especially on those track days.

This is what me and my mate did, Under the passengers arch with the pump. Easy to top up  :happy2:

Cables go through the bulkhead and straight behind the glovesbox, from there you can wire your controller where ever you want to.

Longest part is the throttle body removal, very tight on the back bolts. Easy option is to get the revo pipe.
