My car is booked it at longlife tomorrow to get a back box delete, i went it last saturday and i picked a twin 2.5" outward rolled tail pipe, soon after leaving the shop i realised i had made a mistake sent them an email and rang them and they are going to have a selection of designs waiting for me to choose from when i go in, but they dont have any 3" pipes available so i think im going for a twin 3.5" inward rolled with a black slash (to replicate the oem look)

original pipes i chose

what i think ill go for

pic of a miltek should look very similar but slightly larger

did a video of my oem exhaust will upload a new one tomorrow for a comparison

Had my back box delete done yesterday, very happy with it, unfortunately they didnt have a twin 3" inward rolled, only a slash cut or a 3.5" inward rolled, we tried the 3.5" rolled but it didnt fit in the recess properly so i went for the slash cut, but now its on im very happy with it :D ill get a video later on, excuse the dirty car

Hi

Can you let me know how much did this exhaust set you back?

I'd like to know this aswell.
Also, is this a specialit thing long life donor will most exhaust places do it?
What's the difference like in the tone and volume?

Cheers

i paid £150 for it, the tailpipe on its own is £60 then the extra pipe work and the 2-3 hours labour it took them, was more than i expected but they stuck to their quote but its not something they do everyday so was hard to quote for

and no its not just longlife that do it, any custom exhaust garage can chop your back box off and weld on some pipe on but ive my mates have had longlife exhausts before and i was happy with the bends and welds on their exhausts so i went to them over a place like powerflow which can get very mixed results lol

the noise is a little louder on idle, gets quite loud as you pull off but strangely gets to not much louder over standard higher in the revs and is pretty quiet at cruising speeds which is good, it does have a nice burble though

I'm looking forward to see the video of it done. Been thinking about doing something like this to mine to make it abit more fun sounding but I'm still debating it

Liking what you've done :happy2:. I had a full turbo back exhaust system done by a longlife exhaust specialist, and I am very pleased with it!  :happy2:

thanks, hoping for a bit more popping when i have the pre cat removed. My gf said she would pay for my wheel refurb for my bday, ill ask for some lowering springs from my parents so all i really need to pay for now is my pre cat removal and remap (ill probably get rtech to knock the cat out before mapping),

Before i buy a new headunit ill buy an aux cable to replace the ipod lead that came with it and try and get one of the nice little aux sockets to replace one of the black buttons

Ive also got some black tinting spray to have a go at the diy r32/ed30 rear light mod, might also dewiper and debadge not 100% sure though ive already bought rainex so i should really do it

I had a go at doing the ED30/R32 rear light mod, really happy with the results. rear end is starting to take shape now, i tried to dewiper but it was being stubbon so i gave up, on other cars ive taken a hacksaw to it but im not doing that to this car its either coming off properly or not at all, i also planned to debadge to day as well but I'm in two minds about it so again i chickened out

old lights off

Cleaned and dried

masked up

one coat

few coats

more coats..

final pictures, couldnt find the sd card for the dslr so phone camera had to make do
